"We dream of hope. We dream of change. Of fire, of love, of death.
And then it happens. The dream becomes real. And the answer to this
quest, this need to solve life's mysteries finally shows itself. Like
the glowing light of a new dawn. So much struggle for meaning, for
purpose. And in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared
experience of the fantastic. And the mundane. The simple human need to
find a kindred, to connect. And to know in our hearts... that we are
not alone." - Dr. Mohinder Suresh
As a student of Chandra Suresh and longtime friend of Mohinder Suresh, I am on a quest to discover whether or not people may somehow be linked together through their dreams. I will need as many subjects as possible to conduct my research in an attempt to unlock some of the largest mysteries of the unconscious mind, the holder of our dreams. A dream is a series of mental images and emotions occurring during sleep. It’s our voice when we sleep, often times a way for the unconscious to sort through our library of memories. Dreams take us on amazing journeys that can guide and help us understand where we are in our lives. The stories are what make us unique from one another. Dreaming is a common bond that we as humans all share.
I am on a mission seeking information on how dreams affect us in our waking hours. Is it possible for one person to control another’s dreams? Or, are dreams really hidden secrets encoded in our DNA that are only revealed during the different states of consciousness? The human race has evolved into intelligent, intricate beings over time. Has the pattern and method of how we dream also evolved? Have you had the same dream as someone else? Is it possible that we may enter each other’s dreams? If I dream about a friend, does that person experience a dream with me in it?
Through your dream submissions I can actively try to decipher the key elements that connect us and make us who we are. My hopes are that my analysis will provide insight into the most mysterious part of mankind, the mind.
